Late in 1959 Scott signed with Top Rank Records and started recording in New York City. The first session was on 25. November 1959 with three songs, “Baby, Baby”, “What In the World’s Come Over You” (these two were released on RA 2028, which I have posted here) and “Oh Little One” (the flip of “Burning Bridges”, which is here).
Stan Getz & His Tom Cats didn’t follow Scott to NYC. They continued as the backing band for Johnny Powers, who had a minor local hit with “Long Blond Hair” in 1957.
“Cool Water” was a big hit for Frankie Laine in 1955 (US #2).
