MGM K 13514 (original US release) USA, May 1966
Words & Music by:  Side AGerry Goffin, Carole King; Side B – Eric Burdon, Chas Chandler
Musicians: Eric Burdon (lead vocals), Dave Rowberry (keyboards), Chas Chandler (bass), Hilton Valentine (guitar), Barry Jenkins (drums)

Highest chart positions:  US #12, Canada #3, UK #6, Germany #17, Sweden #16,

This release had two notable changes in the Animals. Their drummer John Steel had just left the group (in February 1966), and he was replaced with Barry Jenkins, the former drummer of the Nashville Teens. Producer Mickie Most was replaced with Tom Wilson, who gave them more artistic freedom. (Maybe the freedom wasn’t such a good thing in this case as the band’s success started to decline slowly but steadily.)

This was the group’s last single as “the Animals”. The next single, “See See Rider” was credited for “Eric Burdon & the Animals”.

This variant with misspelled "Goffin" was pressed by Midwest Record Pressings in Chicago, IL.

List price:  Very Good + is $6, Near Mint is $12
