This was Scott’s third single, the first one to hit the charts and the only one to top a chart (Canada). This record was also his debut with Carlton Records.
“My True Love” is often considered as the A-side of this, but the original numbering sets it as the flip side.
One of the early cover versions of “Leroy” was recorded by a Swedish rock’n’roll artist, Rock-Ragge in 1958.
Stan Getz on this record is not the famous jazz saxophonist.
