“Night” was Wilson’s highest entry in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also included on his 1960 album “A Woman, a Lover, a Friend”, which didn’t hit the album charts. The flip appeared on Wilson’s album “Jackie Sings the Blues” the same year. No chart success with that LP either.
Side A co-writer Herb Miller was Glenn Miller’s brother.
The pressings made at the Decca Plant in Gloversville, NY, have a small cross or a four-leaf clover below the record number on the B-side (see the second photo).
