This was Burnette's first entry in the national charts, though he had already been in the business since 1955.
Snuff Garrett became his producer in 1959 and things started going well for Burnette soon after. Later on Garrett produced artists such as Bobby Vee, Gene McDaniels, Gary Lewis & The Playboys and Cher.
