Mike Nesmith, though a member of The Monkees, only appears on the cover of the record. He didn't sing nor play anything on this hit record, which became the best selling single in the US in 1967.

Gerry McGee joined The Ventures in 1968. Larry Taylor is the younger brother of The Ventures' long-time drummer, Mel Taylor.
