Jan Berry drove his Corvette into a parked truck in April 1966 (a photo of the wreck here). He was severely injured and spent two months in a coma. Meanwhile the label was desperate for new releases as their previous single "Popsicle" had just hit #21 in the US charts.
Liberty found an unreleased track "Fiddle Around" in their vaults and decided to put it on the A-side of the next single. The flip was picked from their 1964 album "Ride the Wild Surf". While Berry was starting his long recovery from brain damage and partial paralysis, Jan & Dean got their last US Top 100 entry with this single.
List price: Very Good+ is $6, Near Mint is $12
