Cash recorded “Give My Love To Rose” many times in his career. This was the first one and the version he recorded for his 2002 album “American IV: The Man Comes Around” (US Album #22, US Country Album #2, UK Album #40) was the last. The latter earned him a Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance.

Side A is Cash’s first release with a “big production”. 😊 Piano, backing vocals and a total of four guitars. Before this it was just him and the Tennessee Two (Perkins & Grant).
