Nelson recorded many songs written by Baker Knight. In addition to side A here,
there were hits like “I Got a Feeling” (1958, US #10), “Lonesome Town” (1958,
US #7), “Never Be Anyone Else But You” (1959, US #6) and “Sweeter Than You”
(1959, US #9). Knight’s biggest success as a songwriter came, when Elvis
covered his song “The Wonder of You” in 1970. Knight’s songs were also recorded
by artists like Eddy Arnold, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
The flip side is a very nice up-tempo rockabilly cover with great guitar playing
by James Burton.
