Words & Music by:  Side AJimmie Davis, Floyd Tillman; Side B
Will S. Hays
Musicians: Eddy Arnold (vocals), Jack Shook (guitar), Roy Wiggins (steel guitar), Rollin Sullivan (mandolin), Chas Grean (bass ), Jack Kelly (piano), Buck Lambert (fiddle)

Highest chart positions: (for the 1948 shellac release) Side B – US Country #10

I couldn’t find the exact release date for this, so I tried to find the dates of other releases in the early 48-series. I found 48-0011 (by Roy Rogers) that was released on 31. March 1949 and 48-0028 (by Rogers) released on 2. April 1949. This single is on those dates or in between – maybe on April Fool’s Day.

Is it just me or is Roy Wiggins repeating himself in all Arnold’s songs? 😊

List price:  Very Good+ is $25, Near Mint is $50. The second pressing has green label on black vinyl, and it’s listed at half the price of the 1st pressing.
