“The Rebel – Johnny Yuma” was recorded for TV western series “The Rebel” (1959-1961). Cash was also a guest star in the series. Other guest stars included Leonard Nimoy, Robert Vaughn, Tex Ritter and John Carradine.
Johnny Western sang the original lead on the flip side, but it was
overdubbed by Cash’s vocals on 23. March 1961. Maybe Cash was not able to sing
it the month before.
