The King of Skiffle, Lonnie Donegan was one of the very few Britons to enter Top 10 in the US charts in the 50’s. He did that with “Rock Island Line” (US #8) in 1956. This single didn’t hit the US charts until 1961, when it was re-issued by Dot (same number).

Donegan’s influence on British rock and blues was substantial and he was the skiffle idol of certain teens who later became stars of the British Invasion of the 60’s, including John Lennon, Paul McCartney and many others.

List price:  Very Good + is $10, Near Mint is $20
