Record #0207: I’ve Got the Feed ‘Em In the Morning (Change ‘Em) Feed ‘Em In the Evening Blues / My Hobby – TENNESSEE ERNIE

Capitol F985 (original) USA, 1950
Words & Music by:  Ernie Ford

“Tennessee” Ernie Ford (vocals), Jimmy Bryant (lead guitar), Eddie Kirk or Red Murrell (guitar), Wesley “Speedy” West (steel guitar), Cliffie Stone (bass), Billy Liebert (accordion)
Recording sessions: Capitol Recording Studio, Hollywood, CA, Jan. 3, 1950
Highest chart positions:  no luck with this release

This was Ford’s first 7” single with Capitol and probably one of the label’s first 7” releases as well.

Side A has probably the longest song name I’ve posted here so far.

On the flip side Ford sings “I want you for my hobby” ... interesting lyrics. :)

List price:  Very Good + is $7.50, Near Mint is $15
