Webb Pierce tried a
bit of rock’n’roll with some musicians of The Nashville A-Team in this one. He
did pretty good with it, having the only US Country #1 he had that year and the
last of the twelve #1 hits he had in his career. The flip side didn’t do bad
either.
Tillis & Peddy
also wrote “Five Feet of Lovin’” for Gene Vincent.
