Yet another international hit for the Rolling Stones, who followed the road taken by the Beatles and included oriental influences in their material and especially in “Paint It Black”. Also, both songs were included in their 1966 album “Aftermath” (in the States), which had only Jagger-Richards penned songs. All preceding albums included both original and cover songs.

The UK release of this single (Decca F 12395, 13. May 1966) had “Long, Long While” as the flip side.

The original releases of side A were mistitled with a comma.
