Del Shannon’s
“Handy Man” (or James Taylor’s version) is probably the 2nd best-known
cover of this 1956 original by The Sparks of Rhythm. It also was a big hit for
the co-writer, Jimmy “Handy Man” Jones, when he went solo and recorded the song
in 1960 (US #2, UK #3).
