The title
song is the same track that appeared as the flip of the first pressing of Buddy
Knox single “Party Doll”.
This was
the pinnacle of Bowen’s career as a recording artist. In the early 60’s Frank
Sinatra hired him as a record producer for Reprise Records. That started a
whole new career for Bowen, who produced hits for artists such as Dean Martin, Bert
Kaempfert, Sammy Davis Jr. and of course, Frank Sinatra. In the 70’s and
thereafter he has influenced the country music scene as the president of
several record labels.
