This was Dean Martin’s fourth 45 rpm single and nowadays a fairly unknown piece with a jazz combo backing him. This was also done quite early in his recording career, which had just begun in 1946.

Muskrat Ramble is an old jazz standard, first recorded by Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five in 1926 (Kid Ory played trombone in the group).
