The Supremes were on a roll at this time. They had just topped the US charts with “Where Did Our Love Go”. “Baby Love” gave them a back-to-back #1 in the States and also their first #1 in the UK. Also their next three singles topped the charts in the US, but they didn’t do quite as well in the UK anymore.

Both side A and “Ask Any Girl” were also released on The Supremes’ 1964 album “Where Did Our Love Go” (US Album #2, US R&B Album #1).
