This was Darin’s last Top 10 single in both the US & the UK.

The Country Folk style here is very different from Darin’s recordings of the late 50’s and early 60’s. The flip side sounds more like the earlier records (and the sax is spot on).

“If I Were a Carpenter” has been covered by quite a many artists.
