Record #0155: Batman Theme / Alone – LINK WRAY AND THE RAYMEN

Swan 4244 (original) USA, 1966
Words & Music by:  Side ANeal Hefti; Side B – Link Wray, M. Cooper
Musicians:  Link Wray (guitars), Doug Wray (drums), Shorty Horton (bass), probably Vernon Wray on keyboards and sound effects
Recording sessions:  Produced by Vernon Wray at Three Track Shack, Accokeek, MD, 1966
Highest chart positions: didn’t hit Top 100

Here’s the grandfather of the power chord and #45 in the 100 greatest guitar players of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine. Link is also widely regarded as an (or THE) early pioneer of heavy rock and punk.
This guy has influenced so many great guitar players and other musicians, including little old me (in the "others"). Luckily I have more of his 45’s to post here later.

List price:  Very Good + is $12.50, Near Mint $25. I would never even think about selling this one.
