This is an interesting old format – an album of singles.

Here’s the father of Princess Leia … so Eddie Fisher was like Darth Vader? :)

“I Love You Because” was written and originally recorded by a blind country singer / songwriter Leon Payne. The song was his only hit (US Country #1 in 1949). The song has been covered by many artists, including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones and Willie Nelson. Eddie Fisher’s cover version is actually one of the lesser known ones - it didn’t even hit the charts. I couldn’t find it in YouTube either.

List price:  Very Good + is $6, Near Mint $12 (the singles album cover box has no listed price)
