signed to ABC Paramount in 1962, but his former label kept releasing his old
unissued masters in the 60’s and 70’s. That explains the time passed between
the recording date and the time of release. Not much can be found about the recording
session. Even the year is unknown; some sources claiming it to be “about 1958”
others saying that this was recorded “before Jan.14, 1962” (the day when he
signed to ABC).
Both “Rock Me Baby” and “I Can’t Lose” are old blues standards, though credited to King
and Josea.
