The Zorro theme of the 1957 TV series was first recorded by the Mellomen, but the Chordettes' cover of it was the hit version.

The group was most famous for their 1954 single “Mr. Sandman” (US #1, UK #11) and 1958 single “Lollipop” (US #2, US R&B #3, UK #6).
