This was Elvis’ 18th and last #1 single in the US. This was also the first time he recorded in Memphis since he left Sun Records in 1955 (to be precise, the first session at American Sound was on 13. January 1969). He also recorded his next single “Don’t Cry Daddy” / “Rubberneckin’” (released on 11. November 1969) in these sessions.
