And here’s again another one that was recorded in “Bradley’s Barn” with "the Nashville A-Team".

This was arguably Horton’s peak of success; his only US #1 and one of the three US Country #1’s. A bit surprisingly, this did well in R&B and more surprisingly in the UK, too. “The Battle of New Orleans” got the Grammy Award for the Song of the Year.

Horton died in a car crash on Nov.5, 1960.
