Record #0057: I Like Your Kind of Love / Stop Teasin’ Me – ANDY WILLIAMS

Cadence 1323 (original) USA, 1957
Words & Music by:  Side A – Melvin Endsley; Side B – Des Louvettes (a.k.a. Kay Thompson)
Andy Williams (vocals), Peggy Powers (b-vocals on side A) and Archie Bleyer Orchestra
Recording sessions: USA, 1957
Highest chart positions:  US #8, UK #16

I’d guess this and his preceding single “Butterfly” (US & UK #1) are as close to rock’n’roll as Andy Williams ever got. The Crooning King is better known for stuff like “Moon River”. He has been extremely popular in his genre. Three platinum and 18 gold albums are quite an achievement.

List price:  “Very Good+” is $6 and “Near Mint” is $12
