Fats Domino is one of those rock’n’roll pioneers who have been credited for making the first record in the genre – which in his case was “The Fat Man” in 1949 (US R&B #2).

Valley of Tears” and “It’s You I Love” are Domino’s lesser known songs, but they both hit the Top 10 in US Billboard and R&B charts.
