This is a
great piece that didn’t quite get the attention it deserved. Both sides are classics
and it may have been hard to decide which one to put on the A side. Actually,
the UK original (Decca 12018) had “Gloria” on the flip side.
Page,
Greenslade and Graham were session musicians that producer Dick Rowe (the man who rejected the Beatles in 1962) brought
into the session as he considered the members of Them too inexperienced.
