After
Lionel Richie left the Commodores (in 1982 and was replaced by JD Nicholas in
1984), this has been the only big hit single for the group.
Nightshift
is a great tribute song to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, who both passed away
in 1984. It won the Grammy for “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With
Vocals” in 1985.
List
price: “Very Good+” is $1.50 and “Near
Mint” is $3 (picture sleeve is twice the record’s price)
