What a tragedy,
what a passion in the title song … I remember I bought this as it was in a “5
for a dollar” sale. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it – not my bag.
Decca
Records UK decided not to release Peterson’s original version of “Tell Laura I
Love Her” claiming it was “too tasteless and vulgar”. They had already pressed
20 000 copies of it. Those got destroyed. What a tragedy. :)
Ricky
Valance did a cover version of the song and it stayed #1 in UK charts for 3
weeks in 1960.
Ben Raleigh
composed Scooby Doo theme song “Scooby Doo, Where Are You” few years later. :)
List
price: “Very Good+” is $12.50 and “Near
Mint” is $25
