“The Spades”
were a high school vocal group in Nashville, TN, when they won a local talent
show in 1955. The 1st price was a recording date with Nasco, which
they used to record these two songs. Before that they made a good decision and
changed the group’s name to “the Crescendos”.
This record
sold over one million copies and as it was the only success they had in the
business, it also made them a true one-hit wonder group.
The group
also sang backing vocals for other local artists like Glenn Reeves, Hal Willis
and Janice Green.
List
price: Very Good+ is $12.50, Near Mint
is $25
