Here’s
another 60’s Surf group from a state that has no ocean shores (I posted the
other such group with the very first record of this blog). This was the group’s
only Top 100 single in the US. They became quite successful in Japan, though.
The group
was originally called “the Stormtroopers”, but once they connected the dots,
they changed the name.
Lee
Hazlewood penned the title song originally for his friend Al Casey.
